Watch the drawing take shape
The composition is prepared by our studio. Then the digital file becomes physical: a pen moves across the paper and draws every line in ink.
Press play to watch the final drawing stage in action. It is what makes an Ordered Lines artwork different from a digital image sent through a printer.
The artwork, in detail
The hippopotamus has an unmistakable form: a broad body, rounded head and low-set profile. This hippopotamus artwork interprets that powerful silhouette through the line-based visual language of Ordered Lines, using line, spacing and contrast to establish the animal’s shape and presence.
Hippopotamus belongs to African Animals, a collection of studio-created artworks centred on the forms and markings of the continent’s wildlife.
This is an Ordered Lines studio artwork, not a personalised commission. The composition is fixed, so no customer photograph or artwork title is required.
The composition is developed by the Ordered Lines studio. A pen plotter serves as the drawing instrument, moving a real pen across the paper to physically draw the finished artwork in ink. It is not a digital image sent through a printer.
Select A4 (210 × 297 mm), A3 (297 × 420 mm), A2 (420 × 594 mm) or A1 (594 × 841 mm).
The artwork is supplied unframed. Sending it without a frame keeps the parcel smaller, reduces the risk of transit damage and allows you to choose a frame that suits both the artwork and your space.
